Acquisitions are continuing apace within the U.S. freight rail industrial, with an infrastructure investment firm procuring SMBC Rail Services and products and CN taking a stake in Atlanta Canada short-line railroad.

An affiliate of ITE Administration, a transportation and infrastructure investment firm, plans to manufacture SMBC Rail Services and products, a paunchy-service rail car lessor, the companies announced Tuesday.
