Stephanie Abeler

Stephanie Abeler is Vice President of Lufthansa Cargo Americas and serves on the boards of CNS and Help Alliance Americas. With 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Stephanie has held operational and strategic management positions. Before moving to Chicago, Stephanie was responsible for an IT department of the Lufthansa Group Airlines, serving Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines. Stephanie holds a master’s degree in aviation management and has graduated from the international executive leadership development program of Lufthansa Group.

Pete Mento

Pete Mento is a leading global trade expert with 30 years of experience, specializing in duty and tax optimization. As DSV’s Head of Customs and Trade Consulting, he’s helped recover over $2 billion in duties and fees. With degrees from Harvard and Maine Maritime Academy, plus doctoral studies at Durham University, he combines deep academic knowledge with practical expertise. A former professional comedian turned trade specialist, Pete has delivered over 2,000 lectures worldwide, making complex trade topics accessible through his unique blend of economics, history, and humor. He hosts the popular “Trade Geek” podcast and is a Board Chair for Customs at The International Trade Commission.

Lance Small

Lance Small brings 40 years of transportation industry experience, split between 20 years in operations and 20 years in sales leadership. As a former Senior Vice President of Sales, he drove LTL and FTL revenue growth while implementing innovative customer engagement systems and leadership development programs.

Jennifer Haigh

Jennifer Haigh recently joined Kuehne and Nagel as a Director of Key Accounts – Healthcare Global Sales. In this role she is responsible for maintaining the relationships and expectations of some of K+N’s top healthcare accounts. Prior to this, Jennifer spent 6 years at United Airlines Cargo where she held two roles; Head of Specialty Products, where she was responsible for driving sales and strategy for United Cargo’s suite of Healthcare and Specialty Products and a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) where she was responsible, at a global level, for four of United’s top freight forwarder partners. Jennifer joined United Cargo after 15 years in the aviation security sector where she held roles of Director of North American Sales and Program Manager for Air Cargo at Rapiscan Systems and GE Security. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Pine Manor College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Jennifer is a native of the Northeast, but now lives in Aberdeen, NC with her husband and five, yes FIVE dogs.

Hannah Roque

Hannah Roque, Country Sales Manager, Canada & Key Account Manager, Americas – Cargo, United Airlines
Hannah leads both the National Account team for the Americas and country sales for Canada at United Cargo. Since joining in 2023, she has been instrumental in re-establishing the airline’s cargo presence north of the border, delivering impressive growth with Canadian forwarders. Her leadership in launching new initiatives—such as expanding United’s RFS network with dedicated trucking lanes—has strengthened United’s connectivity in the region. Prior to her time at United, Hannah held various roles in Operations, Customer Service & Global Sales at Air Canada Cargo.
Her contributions to the industry earned her a spot on Wing’s Top 20 Under 40 in Canada in 2024. Hannah holds an HBSc and MSc from the University of Toronto and lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons.
